Full Day Game Drives

Full day game drives give visitors with limited time the opportunity to pack a lot of thrilling game viewing into a single day. Your day will start with an early (5.30 – 6.00am) pickup at the gate closest to your camp or lodge.

Once inside the park you can enjoy varied game viewing as we make our way to one of the Kruger National Park camps where we will stop for breakfast (usually supplied by your camp or lodge).

After breakfast we will move further into the park as we attempt to show you as much wildlife as possible. All our safari vehicles are linked by radio, to ensure that we know where any particularly interesting sightings have occurred. After lunch at another camp we will gradually make our way back to your drop-off point allowing time for a comfort stop at a camp or picnic site along the way.

We start to make our way back to the hotel or gate. This includes a “comfort stop” for the guests on the way at one of the many camps or picnic areas inside Kruger. This late afternoon drive takes you through a private area of the Kruger Park on narrow dirt roads for a more intimate experience of the bush. There is the chance to stop for sundowner drinks at an exclusive area with magnificent views. Make your way back to camp using your spot light to help find the nocturnal wildlife.

We head back to the Numbi Gate at around 19h30 and guests are dropped off to return to their camps and Lodges.

Experience nature first hand!

We pick up the guests from the predetermined point early morning and transfer them to a Big 5 Private Game Reserve. Here they are accompanied by armed and experienced game rangers that have the necessary qualifications in bush walks, dangerous game and advanced weapon handling. As the day breaks, guests are briefed about the basic rules of participating in a Bush Walk as well as the dangers involved.

The Rangers will introduce a number of skills to the guests including tracking, animal behaviour, identification, plants and trees.

A maximum of 8 guests is allowed on a bush walk, as a smaller group is easier to control and manage. It consists of a 3-hour walk in a Big 5 area and the emphasis is also on the smaller things that one usually misses when on an open safari vehicle!

Larger groups can also be accommodated by splitting them in to smaller groups of 8.

The Berlin Falls can be reached by means of a foot path along the river where the water from the Berlin Creek falls down a 150 m drop into a large pool. The Lisbon Falls are at the point where the Blyderiver splits and large pools are formed before the water cascades over the sheer cliff to a pool 92 m below.

It was established in 1873 when the first significant gold strike in South Africa was made.
