Each comfortable, air-conditioned, self-catering lodge is, serviced daily and has its own private braai area. Enjoy coffee and rusks on your own patio while listening to the dawn chorus. Take a walk through the gardens to the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate complex where you can enjoy buffet-style breakfast and à la carte lunches on the sundeck, or dinner under the African skies. Guests can enjoy easy access to the Kruger National Park through the Paul Kruger Gate, which is a mere 200m away from the resort. The swimming pool on the property is a delightful respite.

Overview

Most of our lodges sleep 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and the other with twin beds, and a loft area with 2 single beds. The living area comprises a lounge/dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. However guests regard the covered patio, and braai area, as the piéce de resistance of the lodge with most meals being consumed in the fresh air, in a bush environment. For a more intimate getaway, there are also 3 4-sleeper units, comprising 1 bedroom and a sleeper couch for 2.

Game Drives

See what the Kruger National park has to offer. Wildlife and game viewing is central to the Burchell’s Bush Lodge experience.

Being only 200 metres from the Paul Kruger Gate, seeing game is rarely an issue. On our own property you will find Zebra, Wildebeest, Impala and Bushbuck among others.

Golf - Skukuza

Skukuza Golf Course is the only Kruger Park golf course located in the park itself. It is a 72 par, nine-hole, 18-tee course on the road to Paul Kruger Gate. Built originally in 1972, it is now open to the public.
