Located in the reserves extreme south, the spectacular Kapama Southern Camp offers luxury-thatched suites. All 25 rooms are discreetly hidden in the surrounding indigenous forest that’s alive with birdsong. Guests have a choice between the 15 standard suites or 10 luxury villas. Families are catered for at Southern Camp, with three of the luxury villas specially created for this purpose.

Equipped for the African heat, each suite is fitted with air conditioning, as well as a personal bar for refreshments. Tea facilities and Lavazza coffee machines are also at hand. For peace of mind, there’s an electronic safe for your valuables, and for our guests from abroad, international plugs for convenience.

5 star thatched en-suite luxury villa is fully equipped with shower and bath, air-conditioning and a mini-bar fridge.
With loads of room to stretch out, come summertime, the airy spaces allow a cool breeze to pull through, and you can splash about in your private lap pool or wash away the dust of your game drive under the stars in your outdoor shower. But for those who prefer a little more privacy, fear not – each room has an en-suite bathroom.
Luxury villa (78m²) includes an inside and outside shower, climate control, lounge and large minibar.
Southern Camp: Family Villa
With your own pool big enough for a rousing game of Marco Polo and comfy recliners just begging to be lounged in with an ice-cold cocktail and a good book, there is more than enough space for the whole family to relax and unwind in style on your private patio. For refreshments, tea facilities and a Lavazza coffee machine is available to you, as well as your own personal bar.

We can arrange a shuttle to Kapama Karula or River Lodge so you can indulge yourself in the finest spa treatments on the continent at Kapama.

Game Drives
2 game drives a day are offered to all our guests. Accompanied by a skilled ranger and tracker, you can expect to encounter a diverse range of animal and bird species. Since this is a Big 5 reserve, encountering Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo is possible over a 2-day safari.
Bush Walks
Experience the African bush on foot under the guidance of a skilled ranger.
Photographic Workshops
Whether you’ve never picked up a camera before or just want to learn to use the one you have better, the emphasis of the weekend is on learning both the technical and artistic sides of photography in a relaxing, natural environment.
