Kilima Game Drives
What would a bushveld adventure be without a game drive? 2 daily game drives which are headed by a skilled, experienced ranger or tracker in order to give guests a better chance of viewing the camp’s wildlife up close and personal. Game drives are best at dawn and dusk and at Kilima Private Game Reserve and Spa both these options are available.
Morning drives start before sunrise when guests gather for light morning refreshments before heading out to the buffalo and sable breeding project.
The night drive starts shortly before sunset with guests convening at the main camp before heading out, while sipping sundowners en-route. Although game activity is usually bustling at this time of day, and a delight to see and experience, an added spectacle is watching the sun go down over the majestical Murchinson Mountain range.
Bush Walk
There is absolutely no better way to personally and physically interact with the African wild, than bush walks. A bush walk gives guests the opportunity to get up close to a variety of game as well as learn more about their instincts, behaviour and tracks. Participants will also gain knowledge on birds, and different types of grass and trees. All walks start after breakfast and vary between a relaxing hour-long casual walk, or a more adventurous detour to the look-out point at the Ruins.
Game walking rules and precautions:

Kilima Veterninary and Wildlife Conservstion Course
Wildlife Vets carry out challenging clinical and surgical procedures on wildlife species almost every day. They are involved in disease research, game capture and often in the management of breeding projects. Their work also includes rehabilitating injured animals. To be part of this rewarding experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Veterinarians never stop learning new things and because the industry is constantly evolving, it is important to keep up with the latest developments. Each case involve some detective work that needs to be done and a key trait of a veterinarian is that they enjoy the challenge. The animal obviously can’t explain what is bothering them, so a broad experience and exposure is an added benefit to figure things out based on the physical exams and lab tests.
The course offer working with a wildlife vet outdoors, with animals on game farms and breeding projects.
Conservation Levy
