Included in your stay are morning and evening game drives leaving from your lodge. You will be guided by informative, professional rangers through Amakhala Game Reserve in open Land Rovers. Here you can return to nature and explore the abundant wildlife, the diverse vegetation and the dramatic landscape of the Eastern Cape.
River Cruise

A nice alternative during lengthy stays on the Amakhala Game Reserve is our river cruise. The boat meanders down the Bushman’s river, beaming with incredible bird and plant life. The cruise is between 30 to 40 minutes to be enjoyed at your leisure with mouth-watering snacks and ice cold beverages. Perfect way to spend your day during the warm weather. All river cruises are made by prior arrangement.
The Amakhala Game Reserve is situated in the greater Addo and frontier country area of the Eastern Cape Province. The Amakhala is a 8,500 hectare reserve offering intimate Big-5 safaris. Malaria free safari destination with owner managed accommodation. Situated on the N2, 40 minutes drive from Port Elizabeth, in the direction of Grahamstown.
An ideal base from which to explore the surrounding areas of the Eastern Cape. Addo Elephant National Park lies just 30 kms away; the 1820 Settlers Monument in historical Grahamstown just a 30 minute drive along the N2 highway, and the Born Free Predator Rehabilitation Centre is 10 minutes from the Leeuwenbosch gate. The beautiful beaches of Kenton-on-Sea and Port Alfred are also easily accessed for a day on the beach.

Rates exclude:
Curio purchases, laundry, telephone calls, premium beverages and other personal expenses, conservation levy, transfers and gratuities.
