Marloth Park

Overview

All rooms can be converted to either double suites or twin suites depending on your requirements. Please confirm your preferred room configuration with our reservationist when booking.

To ensure your stay in the bush is comfortable, we offer:

Eight beautifully appointed suites, each with its own character, atmosphere and luxuries.
Air-conditioning and a ceiling fan in every room
En-suite bathrooms with an extra-large bath and a separate shower.
A hair dryer in every room and complimentary guest amenities such as coffee and tea.
Double suites are equipped with extra-length king-size beds
Twin suites have extra-length side-by-side single beds for persons sharing.
Bed linen is superior, pure Egyptian cotton.

Double suite

Double suites are equipped with an extra length king size bed, airconditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom en-suite with an extra large bath tub and walk-in shower.

Twin bed suite

Twin suites are equipped with two side-be-side extra length single beds, airconditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom en-suite with an extra large bath tub and walk-in shower.

Double Deluxe Suite

Deluxe double suite with either 3 single beds or 1 king size and 1 single bed. Bathroom en suite with shower only. This room is on the first floor at the front entrance of the Lodge.

Your once-in-a-lifetime safari with professional guides can be arranged. We offer: full-day drives, sunrise drives, morning walks, sunset drives and night drives all in the Kruger National Park, as well as Tiger fishing and tours to Swaziland, Mozambique and the Panorama Route.

Walk, jog or cycle in Marloth Park and on the banks of the Crocodile River:

Marloth Park – home to Needles Lodge – shares a 15 km border with the mighty Crocodile River and the Kruger Park. Enjoy a walk or a jog in the bush and along the Crocodile River. You could spot the Big 5, crocodiles, hippopotamuses and many other game species. Sit with your binoculars at one of the hides or viewpoints, and see what strolls by.
Should you prefer to cycle mountain bikes are available for hire, please make arrangements with Management.

Self-drive safari:

Needles Lodge is situated between the two main southern entry points to the Kruger National Park – 35 km to Malelane Gate and only 30 km to Crocodile Bridge Gate. This makes for quick, easy access to the Park for day trips, with enough time to explore its southern region that has the greatest numbers and diversity of animlas. – most popular – part. The Lodge's management will go over the maps with you, and where required give advice, including our guides' advice on the latest sightings of the Big 5.

Needles Lodge is located Iinside a 2300-hectare holiday town and conservation area bordering the Kruger Park. Marloth Park shares a 15km border with the mighty Crocodile River and the Kruger Park.

Get on R21 from To Parking Rd
3 min (1.9 km)
Follow N12 and N4 to R36 in Mpumalanga. Exit from N4
2 h 7 min (233 km)
Take R539 to N4
39 min (60.9 km)
Turn left onto N4
By-pass Nelspruit and follow the signs towards Malelane and the Mozambique border. +/- 65 km
Pass through Malelane and continue on the N4 for approximately 29km. turn left at the clearly marked sign for Marloth Park. +/- 30 km
Continue on the dirt road for approximately 5km until you come to the entrance to Marloth Park.
Go through the entrance and continue for 1.5 km until you see the sign for Needles Lodge on your right.
Turn right and continue for 300 m until the road forks.
Take the left fork into Bushpig Laan and continue another 300 m and Needles will be on your right.

Children of 6 years and older are welcome.

Rates:

Rates may be inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast or bed & breakfast only depending on the reservation made.

Dinner is available at the lodge; a 3 course set meal is served at a cost of R 275.00 per person. Advance notice for dinner is essential.
